SOMT University of Physiotherapy takes great measures to ensure that any individual or group will be treated equally in accordance with Article 21 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. There should be no discrimination "based on sex, race, color, ethnic or social origin, genetic features, language, religion or belief, political or any other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation".

Admission for Dutch students

The admission requirement for the Bachelor in Physiotherapy is a VWO (university-preparatory high school education) diploma including biology, and preferably math A/B and physics.

Admission for International students

The admission requirement for the Bachelor of Physiotherapie is a degree from a university in your own country with a strong biology component, or a diploma equivalent to the Dutch VWO diploma (NLQF* 4+/EQF** 4). You are also admissable with an International Baccalaureate, 27 points with three subjects at a higher level, or a European Baccalaureate with a mark of 75%. Furthermore, an English language certificate at B2 level or above is needed. A language test should also be provided (IELTS).

The admission process is preceded by an interview to see if this undergraduate program is the right fit for you, and you for us. This will be done online for international students.

Concerning other diplomas or missing subjects 

If you have a different high school diploma and/or subject profile and you don’t meet the requirements, you will need to take additional exams. These exams are organized by the CCVX. The exams for math can be taken in both English and Dutch.
