At Somt University of Physiotherapy measures are in place to ensure that any individual or group will be treated equally in accordance with Article 21 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, there should be no discrimination "based on sex, race, color, ethnic or social origin, genetic features, language, religion or belief, political or any other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation".

The following Dutch students are eligible: The admission requirement for this Physiotherapy undergraduate program for Dutch students is a VWO (university-preparatory high school education) diploma including Biology and preferably Math A and/or B, including Physics as well.

For international students the following requirements are in place : Qualifications admissible to a degree course at a University in your own country with a strong Biology component and equivalent to the Dutch VWO diploma. (NLQF* 4+/EQF** 4). International Baccalaureate, 27 points with three subjects at higher level, European Baccalaureate with a mark of 75%. Furthermore English language at B2 level or above is needed. A Language test should be provided (IELTS)

The admission process is preceded by an interview to see if the physiotherapy program is the right fit for you, and you for us. This will be done online for international students

Admission concerning other diplomas / missing subjects / need of language support

If you have a different high school diploma and/or subject profile, and you don’t meet the requirements, you will need to take additional exams. These exams are organized by the CCVX. The exams for Math, which can be taken in both English and Dutch.

Somt University fully understands the needs of the mobile students to provide adequate language support in the local language. This support should be tailored to differences in mobile participants and is offered online. Intensive courses can be arranged with our partnering University of Maastricht. Currently mobile students are learning the local language easiest, by working in working groups with the local students and meeting them in a social program at sport clubs, bars etc. in Amersfoort.
